Outdoor fun!

I do sometimes worry that our children might miss out on something by living on a boat. It's usually a fleeting thought because I see them enjoying all of this:

Climbing:
My children love to climb, they climb in and out of the boat everyday and have done since before they could walk. They go up this ladder

And out here

Elizabeth's new trick is to try and climb up the steering column in the cockpit and on top of the mainsail boom.

Bathing:
In the summer months we don't need to fill the sink or squeeze into the shower room - we just fill the flexi tub and they jump in.

Exploring:
A day can be spent climbing around the boat, exploring the pontoons and searching for wildlife (real or imaginary). Jobs, boat fixing, whether our own or others is always a chance to see how something works or just watch the fun.

Community:
Living in a marina is never lonely. There are always people about, and everyone whether an old or a new face stops to say hello or for a longer chat. The children are always excited to run up to the marina office to say hello.
